Who We Are
The Australian Centre for Precision Optics (ACPO) capabilities are built on more than fifty years research at Australia’s most trusted and respected science and technology research organisation, CSIRO, and the National Measurement Institute (formerly NML). ACPO's major focus is on research services.
We specialise in design and production of ultra-high precision optical systems and components. Our combination of expertise and capabilities in manufacturing, coating and metrology enables us to meet the most challenging specifications.
Over the years, ACPO has designed and manufactured a very diverse range of optical systems and components for a number of applications including:

What We Do
We specialise in:
* Super flats (100th wave p/v, roughness < 1Å rms, up to 350mm diameter)
* Precision spheres <40nm asphericity
* Ultra-high precision assembles (cube-corner, retro-reflectors)
* Multi-layer coatings with ultra-low-loss
* solid etalons wide aperture Fabry-Perot narrow-band filters, fixed or tunable
* Precision metrology (surface figure measurement to 100th wave, up to 350mm diameter)
* Research services (into new processes and prototypes).
* Micro finishing and measurement of components to nanometer tolerances.
