ManufactureLink's Online Discussion Forum - How it Works, Objectives and Forum Rules.

Using the collaboration functionality of our online sourcing software, ManufactureLink has created a new initiative for the Australian manufacturing industry in the form of an online discussion forum.

The forum is available for access by registered users only. Discussions revealing useful information are also published in the forum section of our news service. The forum is broken into several main topics or headings. The following explains each topic, how it is used and the rules for each topic.

General Discussion

This topic is for general discussions between our registered providers (suppliers) only and can be used to discuss industry issues, industry intelligence, request information, request help, notify other suppliers of outsourcing needs or any other topic. This topic may not be used to post any selling leads.

Enquiries

Often ManufactureLink's seekers (buyers) don't have a specific RFQ to lodge or need to request assistance with their projects rather than obtain a quote. This topic is used to post requests for assistance from our provider (supplier) network. No selling leads may be posted on this forum topic.

Group Procurement

The purpose of this topic is to form bulk purchasing groups. So participants can post information about materials, tools, equipment, freight or software for example, and request others to form a group to achieve a bulk purchase discount.

General Rules

The system administrator will moderate the forum. Any forum posts that the system administrator deems does not meet the topic objectives as stated above will be moved into the appropriate topic or deleted. Any unauthorized selling leads, malicious information, misleading information or any material the administrator deems inappropriate will be deleted without warning.
