Enterprise Connect is an Australian Government initiative that provides comprehensive support to eligible Australian small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
Enterprise Connect's core services include business reviews at no cost to firms for eligible businesses and grant assistance to implement recommendations flowing from the business reviews.
A national network of twelve Enterprise Connect centres staffed by a team of highly skilled business advisers has been established to deliver these services.
Their aim is to help Australian firms develop the skills, tools and knowledge needed to improve their competitiveness and productivity and to maximise their growth potential.
AMTIL ManufactureLink provides technical consultancy services to Enterprise Connect clients through the Technology Knowledge Connect (TKC) initiative. Firms who have completed a business review which has identified technical barriers hampering their growth or ability to gain market entry, can access the TKC services to obtain assistance in overcoming these barriers.
AusBiotech is Australia's Biotechnology Industry Organisation, which represents over 2,400 members, covering the human health, agricultural, medical device, environmental and industrial sectors in biotechnology.
AusBiotech is dedicated to the development, growth and prosperity of the Australian biotechnology industry, by providing initiatives to drive sustainability and growth, outreach and access to markets, and representation and support for members nationally and around the world.
AusBiotech has representation in each Australian State and provides the foundation to bring together all the relevant players to facilitate the commercialisation of Australian bioscience in the national and international marketplaces. The structure is a not-for-profit limited guarantee company managed by a Board elected by members, under a constitution that is available on request from National Office.
Their membership base includes biotechnology companies, ranging from start-ups to mature multinationals, research institutes and universities, specialist service professionals, corporate, institutional, individual and student members from Australia and globally. In assessing the current needs and issues faced by Australia's core biotechnology companies, AusBiotech's Strategic Business Plan addresses the requirements to build an appropriate environment to enable companies to grow, help them globalise and position Australia as a significant biotechnology industry for increasing international investment and interest.
