AMTIL's Lynx Project Update

The Lynx Project has started three out of four Factory Blitz’s (FBz) due in 2008, one in Queensland, one in South Australia, another in Victoria and New South Wales (yet to be finalised). A FBz is a process of “review and improve”. The “review and improve” will be carried out by industry experts over the calendar year. A FBz will be as intensive as the company chooses with clear, defined and measurable outcomes.
The project has planned seven Satellite Workshops due for 2008:
Three workshops demonstrating a collaboration of technologies that provide affordable 5-axis machining, incorporating high speed machining methodologies:
- Perth – Swan TAFE: 9th April 2008
- Geelong – Gordon TAFE: 29th April 2008
- Brisbane – Partec: 14th May 2008
Four workshops ensuring awareness of the new standard AS 4024.1-2006 Safety of Machinery. Making sure our advanced manufacturers are abreast of their obligations in this very important area:
- Brisbane: 15th April 2008
- Melbourne: 28th April 2008
- Adelaide: 4th September 2008
- Sydney:27 October 2008
