Advanced CNC Machinist Course
AMTIL is the peak body representing the interests of Australian advanced manufacturers. Developed by industry for industry; this fee for service course carries a joint industry (AMTIL) and training provider (TAFE/University) accreditation.
The course is not product specific training. You will be able to translate the methodologies and techniques across all brand names. This course is about knowing how to actually employ the latest advancements in machining, not just hearing about them. The AMTIL advanced CNC course covers what industry says needs to be covered and not what the training system is able to provide. Partnerships developed between AMTIL’s members and the trainers or TAFE and Universities colleges allowing high end delivery from those that know.
This course is not for the beginner. This course is for the machinist that has good experience in the machining world and is looking to become the best.
You will learn from the best about:
- Job planning and problem solving
- CAM fundamentals
- Advanced CAM techniques
- 3D CAD fundamentals
- Material science understanding
- Environmental awareness
- Lubricant and coolants
- Work holding
- Cutting data and cutting tool technology
- Advanced machining techniques (high speed and lights out machining, etc)
- Machine tool types and advancements in their technology
AMTIL's Advanced CNC Machining Course is a total of 120 hours of training. Student must complete an application detailing their industry and educational experience/qualifications.
