JP2072 Phase 2B - Request for Tender Update

(JP2072 is the code name for the Defence Materials Organisation (DMO) Battlespace Communications System)

In May this year the DMO advised the planned release date of the Request For Tender (RFT) for Joint Project (JP) 2072 Phase 2B was the end of July 2011. The purpose of this notice is to advise the planned release date has been revised to September 2011.

At the Industry Brief in November 2010, the DMO stated the RFT would be a single tender to cover both the Acquisition and Support of the materiel system based on the ASDEFCON (Strategic Materiel) and ASDEFCON (Support) templates. This notice confirms that ASDEFCON (Strategic Materiel) template Version 2.3 and ASDEFCON (Support) template Version 3.0 will be tailored and used as the basis for the JP2072 Phase 2B RFT. It should be noted that ASDEFCON (Support) template Version 3.0 contains significant changes from Version 2.3, notably it integrates a full Productivity and Performance-Based Contracting approach into the template. A public notice will be published on AusTender announcing the formal release of the RFT.
