Linking Industry to Defence Opportunities

The Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO)are pleased to announce that the first stage of the D+I ePortal is live and in operation from the 1st of July 2008. You can access the D+I ePortal to:
- Search on a database of existing and potential Defence suppliers
- Find useful information and links that can help you do business with Defence
- Look for potential procurement opportunities - with Defence and/or other Industry organisations
- Profile your organisation's Defence related capabilities
1. Registration is free and available now
We encourage you to take a moment this week to look at the website and register your business in the database. Registration is free and available to all individuals and businesses who would like to be part of a growing database and network of Defence Industry capability.
Depending on how you want to use the D+I ePortal, you can:
- Browse the site as an anonymous user. You don’t need to register to browse the D+I ePortal, however, you will get limited access to information and features.
- Register as an individual user to get access to D+I ePortal information and features.
- Register your business in the database to profile your Defence related capabilities and start networking with others within Industry and Defence.
Instructions for registering are provided on the help page of the site.
2. Start reading and posting opportunities today
- Are you a contractor looking to team with another sub-contractor to work on an upcoming project?
- Are you in Defence looking for procurement opportunities from Industry?
- Is there information and news that you would like share across Defence and Industry?
Upcoming procurement opportunities can be posted via an online bulletin board, where you can share details across Defence and Industry. To post opportunities, you will need to be registered as a business or Defence user. For more information, refer to the FAQs page or contact icis.info@defence.gov.au
3. Today is just the beginning…
Today marks the first release of the D+I ePortal. Our plan is to progressively implement enhanced capabilities overtime based on user feedback. New improvements will be communicated via the online bulletin board – so watch this space for latest updates!
We encourage you to use this site as part of your usual business practices to maximise your opportunity to compete in the Defence acquisition and sustainment market.
