Client Case Studies:
Sancell Pty Ltd is a medium sized manufacturing organisation, owned by a Japanese multinational. This client has grown significantly and recognised that their systems, processes and management team have not kept up with the growth, and in fact, are holding the company back from realising their potential in this region.
One area identified for change was HR. The client did not have its own internal HR resource and needed to ensure it was meeting legal and statutory requirements. In addition, the company wanted to be proactive in the retention and development of its staff.
Intelligent Human Resources spent approximately 12 months working with the client to initially assess their HR needs and then do develop and implement the agreed solutions. The scope of work included:
- development of position descriptions across the entire organisation
- review of employment contracts
- development of a competency based training program for production staff
- development of a suite of policies and procedures covering the HR function
- development of recruitment and selection procedures and training for staff
- review of the payroll system
- assistance with occupational health and safety matters, including Workcover
ANCA is a global manufacturer of precision tools. With a workforce comprising of manufacturing, engineering and corporate functions, Intelligent Human Resources has acted as a contract HR resource over a period of 12 months to assist in the following areas:
Policy and procedure development
Employee relations advice
Employee counselling and performance management
Workcover administration and advice
Development of position descriptions
Interpretation of the company EBA, relevant Awards and the Fair Work Act on matters including leave (annual, public holiday, carer’s, long service), overtime, role and salary classifications, termination and other general employment issues
Assistance to line managers and supervisors in dealing with employee matters and coaching them on strategies
Intelligent Human Resources has developed an excellent working relationship with this client and is available to them as needed on a long term basis to continue to act in a contract HR role or to assist with particular project work.
This client is a medium sized civil contracting company who engaged Intelligent Human Resources to upgrade its occupational health and safety, quality and environmental management systems. The initial work, contracted in early 2010, was to bring their policies, procedures and work instructions to a point where the company met legal obligations and the system was fully integrated into their business. Examples of areas covered include:

Since that time, Intelligent Human Resources has continued to be available to the client for ongoing advice and upgrades. We are currently working with them to have their safety, quality and environmental management systems certified to Australian and International Standards (AS4801, ISO9001 and ISO14001), allowing them to continue the growth of their business and access larger government contracts.
