Major JSF Contract for South Australian Machinists

Levett Engineering has secured a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract with Lockheed Martin to supply machined components for the Lockheed Martin built F-35 Lightning II, Joint Strike Fighter.

Adelaide based defence and aerospace component manufacturer, Levett Engineering has secured a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract with US technology giant, Lockheed Martin to supply machined components for the Lockheed Martin built F-35 Lightning II, Joint Strike Fighter.

Levett’s contract will see them supplying complex titanium and aluminium airframe components for the nine nation jointly developed and built aircraft starting in 2010 and running through until 2016.

“This contract now creates a stable foundation on which to grow our existing international aerospace business whilst underpinning our local defence and commercial business with investment in new plant and equipment to keep us at the forefront of technology, and most importantly, competitive in our local and overseas markets” said Paul Levett, CEO.
