ManufactureLink Gets a Facelift

14 Nov 11

Over the weekend AMTIL launched the first phase of the facelift to the ManufactureLink website as AMTIL continues to redevelop ManufactureLink into the central online hub for the Manufacturing Community.

AMTIL purchased ManufactureLink www.manufacturelink.com.au in July 2011 and since that time has commenced the ongoing process of redeveloping the site and adding a robust network to ultimately ensure that this central online hub of the manufacturing community provides opportunity and connectivity for all participants in the advanced manufacturing sector.

"We have in place an ambitious 6 month plan to reinvigorate the site (which included the first phase of the facelift this weekend), to produce a site with more intuitive navigation, some new features and importantly, the addition of a vast network to greatly enhance the amount of opportunity and activity that is presented on the site", states AMTIL Member Services Manager Peter Lambe.

"Once our plans are realised we have the intention of having a major re-launch of the site with significant marketing and heavy exposure at next years Austech exhibition in Sydney" says Peter Lambe.

Whilst AMTIL is implementing it's 6 month plan to redevelop the site, AMTIL Members are being offered the opportunity to participate on the site, with a directory listing in unlimited categories, and an online directory ad until April 2012 for free. AMTIL Membership starts at just $200- per annum and has additional benefits other than ManufactureLink. Click here for more information about this offer.

Last month alone ManufactureLink had 20,000 visitors and over 177,000 page views. The online directory element alone is proving to be a powerful tool for people looking for a Manufacturer, Manufacturing Service Provider or Manufacturing Technology Supplier. The site is highly Google optimised even to the point that in some cases a company's ManufactureLink listing ranks higher than their own website.

In one case Peter Lambe says "I had a phone call from someone that was about to send some drawings for parts machining to Asia, but decided to give the opportunity for Australian manufacturers to at least quote, using the ManufactureLink system". ManufactureLink is all about opportunity and connectivity and follows AMTIL's philosophy of Connect. Inform, Grow.

You have to have visibility online and what better way than in an industry specific directory that can also assist in driving traffic to your own website.
