Priority Industry Capability Innovation Program Information Sessions Open

20 Sep 11

The Priority Industry Capability (PIC) Innovation Program was launched on 5 September 2011 by the Minister for Defence Materiel, Jason Clare. The program will be investing $45 million in the defence industry sector over the next eight years.

The program will support Australia’s defence industry by providing grants to drive innovation, and build Australia’s capacity to take advantage of emerging business opportunities within the defence sector and relating to a PIC.

Information sessions will be held around Australia from 30 September 2011. The sessions will provide information to potential applicants on the program requirements, including how to complete and submit an application form and, provide an opportunity for potential applicants to ask Program Advisors any questions they have related to the program.

Potential applicants should visit the PIC Innovation Program website at www.defence.gov.au/dmo/id/picip/ to obtain information on the program and further details of the upcoming Information Sessions.
A further update will be released shortly, providing details of venues and times for the information sessions, once approximate numbers are obtained.

Interested companies that cannot attend an information session can contact a Program Advisor at Industry.PICIP@defence.gov.au, or on 1800 651 292 to discuss their eligibility or the application process.
