RCR wins $57m underground contract

RCR Tomlinson Ltd says the engineering firm's resources division has won a $57 million contract for works at Newcrest's Cadia Valley mine in central west NSW.

The contract involved structural, mechanical and piping installation works for the underground section of the expansion at Newscrest's gold mine, near Orange.

The project is to begin this month, and scheduled for completion in the second half of 2011.
