Ceramic sintering manufacturing process are much the same as the press and sinter processes for other materials such as metals. The ceramic powder is mixed with a binder, pressed into a mould. The ceramic moulded part is removed from the mould and fired to remove the binder and bond the structure into the final shape. Ceramic sintering can be used to produce a wide variety of electrical insulators, heat insulators, seals and anti-wear components.
