Fabrication Processes – General Welding or Joining

Welding in this section refers to a general capability to carry out basic welding. A more detailed description of various welding techniques is offered in other sections. Most fabrication and machine shops will have at least some welding capabilities. Typical basic welding abilities will usually cover the following processes:

  • Oxy acetylene brazing
  • Oxy silver soldering
  • Oxy welding
  • Stick or electrode welding
  • MIG welding
  • TIG welding
  • submerged arc welding
  • Robotic welding
