CO2 laser cutting is the most common form of laser cutting and the one most industry people are familiar with. CO2 laser cutitng is a fast, efficient and low-cost way to accurately cut a wide variety of metals, plastics and wood. CO2 laser cutting is considered the industry standard process.

Laser cutting offers superior finish, low heat input, high accuracy and fast cutting in comparison to older processes such as oxy profile cutting or plasma cutting. The main limitation of laser cutting is a poorer performance on materials such as aluminium in particular and stainless steel to a lesser extent.

Modern, hi-tech laser cutting setups often include automatic sheet handling equipment for even more efficient cutting.

Just a few of the wide variety of applications for CO2 laser cutting are profiling of steel shapes, plate processing, cutting or drilling of holes in steel parts, cutting of thin sheetmetals, cutting of plastic signs and masks, cutting of profiles in wood and cutting of fabrics and plastic films.
