Pour moulding is the techniques of pouring a liquid resin into a mould or pattern to produce either a finished part or another mould. The liquid resin can be either melted thermoplastic or a mixture of resin and hardener.

This is a techniques for producing mouldings that is low cost to set up but slow and expensive to produce mouldings in high volumes. No special equipment is required to produce pour mouldings.

Pour moulding is commonly used to produce silicon moulds for the manufacture of prototype parts. It is a technique also commonly used to produce a low volume run of production plastic parts. Pour moulding is also often used to produce urethane castings.

Potting compounds can be pour molded to encapsulate electronic and electrical components and assemblies for insulation and protection.
