PTA process produces extremely high quality deposits with a minimum dilution or deformation of the base material. A variety of exotic materials can be used by the PTA system ranging from pure metals, metal alloys, super alloys, cobalt and carbides.
Hard facing by PTA process has many advantages, while hard facing deposits may range in size from approximately 0.025mm (0.01”) to 6.35mm (0.250") thick in one pass (weave).
