Galvanizing is the process of applying a coating of zinc to a metal part to impart excellent corrosion resistance. There are 2 processes used to galvanize components. Hot dip galvanizing is the process of dipping the component into a bath of molten zinc. Galvanizing can also be applied cold using a mechanical plating process or sprayed on as a paint.
